Catalina wine mixer

January 6th – Clare’s favourite family came over from England for a summer getaway and asked us to join them for dinner and the Catalina in Rose Bay. Meeting her Aunt, Uncle and cousins for the first time – after hearing almost everything about them – was quite intimidating, I must admit, to begin with but that quickly changed. After the first bottle of champagne arrived, we all got to talking. Everything about this family is amazing; the two girls are so well spoken (and quite the conversationalists) and as for Clare’s Aunt and Uncle, well, they are just too good to be true. Their take on life is fascinating, having the chance to talk to someone who has an inside perspective on the ‘Global Financial Crisis’ and another who is currently in the process of launching a revolutionary mobile application was both enlightening and overwhelming. Three hours has never passed by so quickly. Thank you.
